The Normal Guy....

India is out of the T20 world cup. Last years champs are out in the super 8s stage. Now, it does not matter what Mr. Dhoni says or our coach Mr. Gary Kirsten says cause no matter what every word coming out from their respective mouths is going to be scrutinized and we are going to do everything possible to screw their happiness.....

Well, thinking about all this I thought that there are two ways in front of me. I could be this mature guy who thinks that failures are a part of life and its a game and wining and losing are a part of it.
OR
I could be this normal guy who thinks that no matter how many failures I have had in my life and no matter how many times fate and bad decisions have just made me look like a fool, I will not stop myself and say its ok if they didn't win.

Fortunately, I decided that I will be the NORMAL GUY and thus, here goes.......

I come back from work tired after sitting in front of the computer the whole day(even though I am not in IT anymore and I don't know the 'P' of programming) that also in formals (I hate formals) all geared up watch The India vs anyone (even if its Timbaktu it doesn't matter).

I switch my idiot box on from the time three people who might have been nothing at their time giving expert comments till the last ball. Now, at times I know that Indians did not bat well and are almost definitely doomed to a humiliating loss but still I watch the match till the last ball. I put my getting up on time for work at stake and still after everything team India lost the match.

After all this what is an Indian to do but to take out all of the frustration and anger from everyday life on them. So, in the middle of the night angered from the loss I write a message to the news channels (which obviously is not shown because of the 'excellent' language used).

And still after one week I wait eagerly for the India vs anyone (even Timbaktu) match, just to see India beat the hell out of there bowlers and I wait eagerly to send a message to the news channels to congratulate team India for the win........

Think about it, if I was mature, life would be so less happening...........

I am also happy you back from the mall too Mukund.

I fully understand the frustration watching games. Most of the situations is beyond my control and I felt "down" afterwards. It is an awful feeling.
So, I don't watch sports channels anymore, instead I play the sports for my own satisfaction.

Right said friend!!!!

I do the same, the only difference being that I dont have any objection watching matches between one Timbaktu with another..:-P

Well Mukund we must thank ICC for putting in India in a group with minnows otherwise think the frustration we would have, seeing India crash out in the first round itself like Australia did :D

Well! Well! Well!

If Dhoni's 'gamble' with Joginder Singh had failed the last time around, he would have been pilloried by all and sundry, esp. the media... for being a terrible tactician, a poor captain with weak man management skills... blah! blah! blah!

Cricket is a game of 'glorious uncertainties' and Twenty20is the very embodiment of that phrase!

Also... 'folks' may not have wanted to 'risk' having England ousted before the Super 8 stages... they are the hosts after all...!

Hey sid...
Timbaktu I think is a real place but I am sure they would be playing T20 (obviously in the Gullies of Timbaktu)

Yup it feels great finaaly to be back from the mall... it was a bit tough to get out though...

Hey rae...
Happy to be back too... Well sports are a great thing to get involved in... They are the real entertainment if you ask me and its even better if you play one...

Hey whats in the name...
Letshope India does well in the next series and does not ever get the opertunity to play with Timbaktu (lets hope now that by some amazing wonderful happening or mishappening Timbaktu become the no. 1 team in cricket)

Hey Dhiman...
Yup thank god for ICC we were able to make it till super 8s but we never really looked like or played like the team which faced Australia last year...

Hey Roshmi...
Cricket is a funny game and T20 is just amazing... most of the matches are played till the last over and you can never be sure what will happen next...
Thats why I think it is the most entertaining of the three formats but one day and test cricket holds its own charm... I am a die hard cricket fan :)

I too watch cricket matches... whenever I can. Used to play during my schooldays!

No wonder, Cricket is called... a game of 'glorious uncertainties'. You can never be sure until the last ball has been bowled... esp. in the Twenty20 version.

:)

P.S. You have received an award. Check out my latest post... to know more about it.
