Merry Christmas....

4 Kicks So Far
Winters, sweaters, mufflers, skull caps, at some places snow and at others its still really hot...
But still none the less.....
Decorate the tree, wear red caps, have some rum cake and well drink some wine...

Vaguely remember the days when I used to go to school in shorts thinking why seniors should be allowed to wear pants. What was wrong with the school, making me wear a full length blazer and then shorts below, it's not that you feel cold on the top portion only.

Always used to think why so much chaos, it's just Christmas. I mean think about it no one used to let us burst crackers in Diwali but on 24th Dec a guy would dress up like Santa and distribute chocolates and we would run after him to have some more.

Now, imagine if it was your first Christmas and you haven't heard or even seen a picture of Santa ever and a guy with dressed in Red and white beard walks up to you.

The first reaction: Whats with the dressing dude. Get a pair of jeans.

The second reaction: Dude huge beards are out. Stubble is in.

The third reaction: Dude, where is the six pack.

The fourth reaction: Whats with the laugh and anyways it's ha ha ha not ho ho ho.

And now imagine the worst.... Santa takes this advice...

A shirtless, low waist jeans wearing Santa with two really hot happy helpers..... OMG!!!

Now not very warm is it... Hot yes but warm... Christmas would then become a very grown up thing... It would be adult-rated.

Being a kid I liked the guy in the red dress, the long beard and the paunch was just the cherry on top of the cake. Come to think of it somehow Santa will always remain the ultimate guy that I might want to be when I grow old. Think about it... He must be in his 70's (at least from the look of it), has an amazing paunch, spreads joy and still just keeps on laughing and to top it all has a private jet (in his case its different of course). I would kill to be that guy.

What can I say... still have that kid wearing the long blazer over really short shorts who keeps peeping out.

Merry Christmas all.... I hope you all were good boys and girls this year... :)

FICTION 55: The Price For Freedom...

0 Kicks So Far
In this one I take a leaf out of my friend Sid's book or blog rather... BTW I am sure most of you know what is Fiction 55. In case you don't know let me tell you what wikipedia tells me... 55 Fiction is a form of microfiction that refers to the works of fiction limited to a maximum of fifty-five words... So here goes nothing...

He was running in a green field with wind blowing across his face, he was FINALLY FREE...

He opened his eyes. Where was he? He had dozed off.

He was sweating...

He looked around and realized it was all over...

The toilet paper was over and the new roll was in the next room...

Conversations...

2 Kicks So Far
How good is having a voice if you don't know how to make a conversation?

Being a part of the SN (Social Networking) generation makes it so important for you to be a part of the conversations and moreover to have an opinion. It is so important to keep talking to people to be part of a group... but (I know, I know there is always a but...)

How can it be so simple?

How often have you had one sided conversations in your life. If you ask me I have it all the time. At times at work, at times at home and at times even with friends. These are the situations where it does not matter if you have a voice. You having a voice does not make a difference, it does not change anything and you know that the person sitting in front of you has both his ears open for things to easily come from one and get out of another. So, what do you do in a situation like this?

Do you go ahead and waste your energy by saying things or since it is not going to make a difference you prefer to stay quiet?

The worst thing about this situation is....

If you speak your mind you get frustrated cause it doesn't matter and if you stay quiet and keep things bottled inside you get frustrated because it is difficult to keep things in.

May be no matter what happens you are bound to get frustrated and this is the reality or may be you do have a choice between getting frustrated or....

Not caring at all...
