Prisoner of Thoughts

4 Kicks So Far
Hey people... it has been quite a while since my last post. The reason is that I was busy attending my cousin's marriage in a place called Lucknow. So, you can expect a few posts about that trip. As for this one I have something great for you... A break from me (Not funny I know)... But here is the very first guest post on my blog. The author is a really close friend of mine, actually the person who gave me the idea of starting a blog... This is his first post in a while so let me know if he has still got it. Here goes, the post is called the Prisoner of Thoughts.

We feel we know the best (isn’t it). What we see and feel is right and we give our best in any given situation......

This should hold true with most of us, if not trust me something needs to be corrected immediately. It’s important to hold on tightly to your thoughts and stand by them & fight with conviction.

I personally felt this for very long time that I am a sensible person; always used to get into the other persons shoes before sharing my thoughts/ actions. At times I succeeded, at time I didn’t but never gave up even when the wind was flowing hard from the other end. It’s destined, that things will go wrong at times & you need to come back strong every time.

I feel different now, it’s stupid not to take umbrella if it’s snowing & be confident about not falling sick. There are times you are confident and not seeing the clouds coming strong. No harm if u listen to others and take preventive action, rather than getting hit by ice balls falling from the sky. Again, It might be only ice balls that hit you, but God forbid if you got caught in a tornado, it will take a lot around you.

Don’t see what you can’t & if needed see what you can with the help of spectacles in dust storm.

Umbrella / Spectacle – What are we talking here!!!!!!!

Don’t be the Prisoner of your own thoughts, share it & always stay ahead in life with the help
We all have someone around; go grab your pair of spectacle.

ENTERTAINMENT UNLIMITED!!!... PART 2

2 Kicks So Far
Remember the shoe incident, well, it happened again this time on a normal candidate and guess who threw the shoe- a teacher who I think was super drunk. Also recently on my idiot box there was a piece of news showing people practicing shoe throwing on a dummy, trying to improve their throwing arm and aim. OMG!!!! right??

Moving on, another party released their manifesto (for all my good friends from other countries hold on to your chairs, in India we have already laughed our hearts out at this). The party's manifesto says that if they come into power they will abolish English medium schools, they will ban computers and (this you got to hear) they will take out all the modern machines used for agricultural purposes. You must be thinking, " You got to be kidding me". Well, I am not kidding and even though funny, this is not a joke.

The fun is not over yet, why they have said what they have said is because they think computer has increased unemployment and because of people passing from English medium, the ones passing from the mediums in regional languages are not at the same level (It is really amazing how uneducated people talk about education reforms). So, what they really mean to say is that two things that India is good at (IT and English) will be banned and we will not be able to compete with this world but definitely compete against one another. Good going, we now have one more reason to differentiate each other as if castes and religions were not enough.

So, In the end I would like to say this to,

The Drunk teacher: Way to go dude. I recently read this on a T-shirt "Reality is just an illusion caused due to lack of alcohol" not in your case though.
The people practicing shoe throwing: Thanks for taking my advice (refer- Entertainment Unlimited!!!- part 1)
The party with the manifesto: I think you are the ones feeling left out due to lack of education and if you really want to try and bring everyone at the same level provide English education to everyone. Raise the bar and not lower it.

The Political Downturn.........

6 Kicks So Far
To vote or not to vote, that my dear friends is the question............

Me: What's your plan for tomorrow??
My friend: I am planning to go and vote.
Me: What?? Really?? Why??
My friend: Because we should all vote. It is our right. You should do it too.
Me: Nahhhh... You go ahead. I will enjoy my holiday. What's the use anyways??
My friend: Well you go there and tell them that you don't want to vote for anyone. That way your vote cannot be misused.
Me: Really?? It still does not make a difference buddy. I do not want to vote for any existing candidate. Even if I go and tell them that I don't want to vote for anyone, who cares. Then if I vote for a person and that person wins because of my one vote, who cares really. To me it does not make a difference, cause it does not change my life one bit.

So, here is the problem......

You are a socially responsible person, you are way past the age limit of voting, you know you should start exercising your right to vote but...............

Every time there are elections you don't go to vote, you feel really bad about it but still you didn't vote in the previous elections and still you don't feel like doing it this time......

You would love to go out there to the polling booth and vote, really you would but if and only if there was a single party which actually led by example and if there was a single politician who made a difference to India and the people who live here. As of now our political system is going through a big break down with the political parties trying to gather awareness and votes through television ads, short films and even songs written on them, may be they have just accepted the fact that their actions don't speak loud enough or may be there have been no actions what so ever to talk about. It is something like watching a really awesome, thrilling, glorified trailer of a really bogus movie........

I hope the few good men left in the political scenario are put up at the right places in our political system.....

For now our political system is weak and the politicians are just too human. I say too human because they are still very selfish and to be a leader of a great country like India they need to have a bit of a streak of selflessness, they need to have a greater vision and more importantly they need to take actions....

In the end I would only like to say this.....

Some where down the line, right at the bottom, this is all our fault............. If we had reacted a little earlier, if we were more aware then, if we had stopped these "good for nothing" politicians before they contaminated the whole system, may be this problem would have ceased to exist.....

May be even our future generations will think the same about us...

A NEW LOOK....

ENTERTAINMENT UNLIMITED!!!

3 Kicks So Far
So, for all of you who think that U.S.A. is a super power and the most weirdest and the most bestest (I think I made that word up) things happen there.... Well, I have only one thing to say to you.....

U.S. we are no less (hey that rhymes, lousy but still)...

Anyways, If you people didn't hear let me tell you one of the Journalists today threw a shoe on our Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram and he missed of course.....

Now this is what I call Westernization......

I suppose this is where Ram Sena (Pronounced- "Raam Say-na") people should come in and fight with the journalist for doing things the western way. Oh! Ya for all of you who do not know what Ram Sena is, well, they are the self proclaimed moral police of India who fight against Westernization and things like "The Pub Culture" and having girlfriends and boyfriends but mind you these people are not against Alcohol just against "The Pub Culture" (Going to the pubs and drinking- Specially Girls). I some how feel there is a political agenda behind it.....

Back to the shoe incident.....
Now, I will tell you what happens next. In all probability, the opposition will make an issue out of it. They will say that this is a shameful act but none the less they are happy that finally we are waking up and now we know which party to vote for....

Now, to the reason of the problem.......

Its election time in India. Elections in India are like reality television like big brother and big boss (Indian version of big brother) etc. The politicians are like contestants who try and degrade the other contestants and try to publicize themselves in every possible way. The latest example being the hate speech by Mr. Varun Gandhi a member of the opposition. I don't want to get into the details but I will say that the opposition and the ruling party both cashed in on it. The winner has to be Varun Gandhi as he got the publicity and came out, for many, as a fearless hero who is now fighting elections from jail.....

Its all a publicity stunt.... Isn't it?????

Lovely drama and amazing suspense. The best reality show......

Before ending this post I would like to say this to:

The Politicians: May be this applies to you- "लातों के भूत बातों से नहीं मानते " (Sense is beaten into those who don't listen to words)...

The Ram Sena- Get a life people...

The Journalist- Practice harder and Aim better the next time...

LIGHTS OUT!!!!....... PART-2

4 Kicks So Far
Remember the time when I was stuck in traffic and saw a miracle... If not then read one of my previous posts called Lights Out!!!! before reading this one (it's pretty simple, scroll down and you will find blog archive, I am sure since you have reached my blog, you will be able to find a post called Lights Out!!!!)

Ok, Back to this one now...

So, now you all know how I love my sleep and how I hate getting up. The only difference between that morning and this morning is that I too go to a job now, so, its kinda mandatory for me to get up early......

I do not get up to the howling of my sister now, I get up to the irritating noises of my mobile phone. It's actually not that simple but more on that later.............

Now that I am up, I go to the bathroom high on sleep, walking unsteadily. I half brush my teeth and well there is nothing like partial loo or I would have done that also, though I might have trouble in the office (please don't try this at home)......

I take a bath, look at myself in the mirror and thank god I don't have hair to comb. I have my breakfast and then I get into the car with my sister and start off, again to face the same old traffic, shouting, the showing of fingers and what all and what not.....

Finally I come to a red light...................

AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME I SEE A MIRACLE........................... AGAIN.................

The light in front of me was not working and still every one was following the traffic.....

Shocking right.... I was taken aback... I mean this is India... this sort of thing cannot happen... as a matter of fact it cannot happen anywhere in this world cause we are humans and we are not suppose to use our brains and apply ourselves if the lights are not working... we cannot think like this at least not all of us at the same time... I can really go on and on and on cause I was absolutely awestruck...

But then I started looking around and I saw that only the lights in front of me were broken and the rest of them were working and the traffic was moving according to them.....

I know I am a careless person who is bad at observing things right in the morning. But the rest of them around me showed amazing presence of mind, all at the same time without any problems and the traffic, well, it moved peacefully, shouting, howling, showing fingers and what all and what not.......
