The Mall Culture....

The last two days of my life have been very happening....
No not because I had work to do but because of the fact that even though I had no work and I was absolutely free I couldn't blog, I couldn't even stay at my house.....

Before I go any further let me tell you that I am a real lazy bum. Most of my friends would agree and tell you that if ever in this world they were honoring people who have made a name for themselves in the field of laziness, I would not only get a special mention but they would give me a salute of 25 cannon fires and even when they would be doing this I would not get up to acknowledge it.......

So, my life was really happening for the last couple of days and I had so much going on that I can't even start telling you..... Ya in your dreams may be. For me happening would be ordering a pizza at home and eating it while sitting in a chair (usually I am on the bed watching a movie or some kind of sports telecast). I am one of those people who tell you its too hot to get out in summer and too cold to get in winters and at other times its just raining.

Now that I have exaggerated enough to establish the fact that I am a very energetic and not at all boring person, lets continue....

So, this weekend was the usual I was looking forward to ordering a pizza the next afternoon and doing nothing when 11.30 in the night the lights went out. Now, power cuts in Noida are part and parcel of life and they don't make much of a difference cause anyways ACs and coolers don't work cause of the low voltage and moreover light comes and goes and comes but the important point here is that it comes back like and old faithful dog. But this time the dog went nuts and didn't come for the two whole days. And my faithful inverter gave up on us at the 12th hour of power cut....

With no light we had no other option and had to go to the mall. In the mall where on a Sunday people come as if the shops are giving up stuff for free or may be all of them were from my area (you see being lazy I am also not a very social guy). But I must add three hours of movie, two hours of lunch and one hour of coffee in the Air Conditioned Kumbh Ka Mela (Mall) was good....

Thank god for the Mall Culture (Lets hope no one from Ram Sena reads this)...

f*ck the ram sena...going out in the mall is very beneficial. I mean they have full AC on, whenever the whole city is without power. And no lazy person can complete the mall on time, I remember giving up on one wing of GIP, just cause my legs gave way.
I am of the belief, that all malls should have travelators (escalators on the floor) just stand and you travel...how cool...:)

Btw...good that you are lazy, but with the 25 canon salute, if you don't stand up, I am pretty sure...the 26 canon will be aimed at you...

Cheers.

Well, Mall Culture..
Eventhough here we don't experience frequent power cuts, but people are all over Mall for weekends, holidays etc. It's like a must-go on those days. Frankly, I don't blame them, not much places for the locals to venture to either, except hoping for some new promos or giveaways, or merely hang out.

Don't Worry Ram sena also won't mind 'chilling' out in mall on a summer day after 12 hrs. of power cut :)....
Rightly said Malls are A/C Kumbh Mela without any 'bichedey huye bhai'...for you to get back to later :D
Keep them coming
Cheers

LOL! Oh ... I would never have guessed that you were a "real lazy bum". (hehe) So ... even the though the Mall gave you some heat relief ... I'll bet the outing just wore you out! Ahh ... soon you'll be back to your pizza and favorite chair (or bed).

Thanks for the grins and giggles!

@ SiD: Ha ha! That 26th canon dig was brilliant! :D

@ flightpretendment: Hey yeah... I find people watching an interesting time-pass too! :p I can often be seen in my 2nd floor balcony, during the evenings, doing just THAT!

@ Mukund: 2 days without power! Wow! Reminds me of my Kanpur days! Glad to see you didn't lose your humor skills in the heat! :D

I get dizzy when I go to crowded malls but I confess that my favorite pastime is malling. In the absence of a big park with cool trees minus the polluted city air, I thank God for the malls.

But on the serious side, I pity the new generation who grew up in malls instead of parks.

LOL! That was so cute! Thoroughly enjoyed reading it....especially when I thought I was the laziest person around... man.. you beat me hollow!!!!

How come I haven't visited your blog before? It seems too good to have missed until now. But it also seems vaguely familiar...so maybe I have dropped by earlier and haven't been sensible enough to re-visit. Anyway, going to read more of your posts now!
Cheerio!
