Feeliiiinnnngggg Goooooooood.....

9 Kicks So Far
I am feeling good today... I don't know why... Feel like taking a walk... listening to music... I don't really know why... Its just random happiness and well this post is just about random things. And this all is happening even though I have a hangover (I had a blast yesterday night :D ) or may be it is happening because I have a hangover.
Well life is crazy or may be its just me... who knows or cares...

Life is not a sitcom or a movie right? Definitely not right? Just think a bit more. It really is not.

Well I just love watching sitcoms/movies over and over. Specially the feel good ones. The thing that is common to all of them is that its the background score of each of the sitcoms/movies that depicts the mood of the characters. Something similar happens with our daily soaps, just that now they have added the weird camera work to it. Now, imagine if something similar starts happening in real life. Every time you are in any situation this music starts playing. No no, don't just read... close your eyes and imagine...

Your mom comes to scold you and as soon as she says the first few words there is that Saas bhi Kaabhi bahu shocking scene type music (and may be even the camera work).

May be everyone feeling a bit low or just had a fight with some one should try this out, I am sure it will bring a smile out of no where...

Well today is Ganesh Chaturthi and well going with the flow lets read the next line really loud...

Ganpati bappa morya, pudcha varshi lavkar ya

Ganesh is one of my favorite gods I mean well I love all the gods but he Loves laddus, has the coolest belly and has an awesome ride, he is smart and gives a great kick start to everything :)

This is something what one of my friends just passed on to me... http://www.ganeshaonline.com/ganeshpaintings.php

And talking of friends, well some of my college and school friends read this blog and give really great comments. After all... Where would one be without friends but well more on that later cause lets not get too senti because we are happy today. This is what I came across while reading something on the net...

Never exaggerate your faults. Your friends will attend to that.... well I agree :)

Coming back to sitcoms and music... think... every time that one irritating person you hate to see and the one who you always get stuck with comes up to you and in the background there is the song "Raat Akeli hai... " oh oh we goofed up with the song right? Well as I said don't just read... imagine...

Now, imagining normal sounds like the ones in our TV soaps is ok but just imagine if you were to goof up with the songs and that also at the wrong place and the wrong time like a confrontation with your boss...

And well if at the starting of this post you thought I was going somewhere with this, well then, you didn't read carefully.... I have a hangover... :)

Happy In- Dependence........

8 Kicks So Far
As you might have guessed I am a bit of the Patriotic types (from the name of the blog) and since its Independence day I thought I will Jazz it up a bit. Now I respect my flag a lot. Just that don't have any other way of celebrating Independence day.

We live in a free world. We have the freedom to express our opinions in every which way we want to, we have the freedom to laugh, make jokes, dance and sing, to make new friends and biggest of all we have the freedom to think and yet I can hardly think of a day I was free...

This is what I thought when I wrote the last line.... You were always free. You did the things you like to do. You were free to initiate those things that you did and you were free to take them forward. So, from where did the first thought that "I had never been free" come from....

Well the first thought came because when I started thinking about the major events of my life. From my birth to me writing this blog, for everything I have been dependent on something. I was born, well, obviously due to my parents so totally dependent on them and I have been dependent on them from there on and I will pretty much continue to be dependent on them. Was dependent on my friends during my school and college days for making my day or ruining it, on my teachers (well, not so much in college except for internals) for the Knowledge and at times the T.P. (Time Pass) they provided me with. My sis for helping me out whenever I thought I was about to fall. This Laptop, the internet, this blog of mine and all the friends here. I have been just dependent.

Our Great freedom fighters fought for our Independence for 90 years but Independence was achieved only when we started working as an interdependent cohesive unit. No one could have single-handedly attained Freedom. But guess what.....

I love each and everything or everyone I am dependent on. I can appreciate my life as it is right now because of them. The freedom fighters loved fighting for the Independence of their country and fought really hard. We wanted to have our own governance. We made a choice between the British Rule or having our own Government. We used the freedom we were all born with. I used this liberty through each and every stage I have mentioned here. The most important freedom of them all....

The Freedom To Choose....

Happy Independence day all... Enjoy your Freedom...

Fighting The Writer's Block

10 Kicks So Far
Hey I am back... I know you all missed me... I missed you too.... :)

Yes I have been busy with work but well I am not going to talk about it...

So, here is the question. What causes a writer's block... the fact that you are over occupied with other things or you cannot think of a thing to talk about, in this case write about.

I don't really know if the latter can be a reason really for not writing a post. India is such an happening place. It is the world's second largest population, how can something not be happening here. It can be the funniest show ever called The Rakha (of the chacha chaudhary vs Raka fame) Ka Scam-war (I am sure you must have guessed what I am talking about). While watching the show I constantly thought of only one thing... This is the best spoof that anyone can make of all the reality shows, they just needed to add a mud fight and the thing would had been complete.

It can be the ever green Politics of India where if nothing happens they drag shows like Such ka Samana into controversy saying that it hampers the sanskriti and sabhyata of our country. I fail to understand its not a problem when people do weird things but its a problem when people openly tell about it.

If that is not enough there is always the issue of homosexuality and celebrities writing blogs for and against it. Also celebrities not getting homes because of their Religion. Its just amazing. Its really difficult to say that we have really grown up. I thought it would be better if people or let me say the politicians should be trying to make some better strategies against the H1N1 scare.

If this was not enough I saw a remix of the Patriotic songs with actors and actresses dancing wearing funky clothes in a full party mode. Ya.... may be they want to convey that people even in pubs and discs can love their country a lot but frankly I am a bit disappointed.

You can think about all this while I am trying to fight my writer's block... and ya don't forget you can always kick me out of it... ;)
